MOMMA's SPRING BREAK

Gorgeous colors and perfect clear day!

Practicing with the macro and settings on my canon

Daisies in honor of my beloved mommy. Her birthday was this week

too...she has been in heaven for almost 19years. I miss her every day.

Well......I have had a busy spring break! Still took care of my household duties, but managed to get out and explore my surroundings and see some friends and savor the beautiful weather we are having.....here is a sampling of what I have been up to....

Sunday: Disneyland with my Little(BIG) boy. This turned out to be a short visit as we were there when the earthquake hit and rides were closed for a while and after that...we got some food and momma decided it was time to go...did not want to get stuck in that crowd in a big natural disaster(can you tell I am very afraid of earthquakes???

Monday: household stuff...hanging with the kiddies

Tuesday: Up to Los Angeles...went to see Renior at the LA county Museum of Art. Awesome exhibit and gorgeous day. After the exhibit(Thanks Laurie!) we went to the Grove for lunch. That night Five for Fighting concert with John Ondrasik my childhood friend. Had never seen him perform and he is fantastic even better in person than on the albums. His voice is incredible!Stayed in the city, it was fun to be like a tourist. Also "crashed" a food network party" held on the rooftop of our hotel. Did not stay long as we had to get tot he concert. We were able to say a hello and get a photo with our Johnny. My BFF and I had a great time.

Wednesday: Walked to breakfast in Beverly Hills, before checking out from out hotel. BFF had to work a half day so she went to work and I headed home....detour to Marina Del Rey on the way back....sat and read a few chapters of my book and drank a diet coke....heaven....

Thursday: Headed to the Flower Fields in Carlsbad, CA...a rainbow of color but on the ground not in the sky...you know of my affinity for rainbows....met a few friends there we were all with cameras so we shot a good few hours. From there we went to Sammy's Woodfired Pizza...used to go to the one in La Jolla years ago. They have the best Chopped Salad! Quick visit to the outlet mall, did not buy anything... Visited Stepmom for the afternoon and went for dinner.

Friday: Cleaning in the morning.... Michael Buble concert in the evening. Date night....went to Katsuya for dinner....fun and different...a good place to people watch(one of my favorite pastimes:)) His show was fantastic...I am NOW a fan. Very nice guy seemed genuine and the place was sold out. A great mix of young and old at this show. Hubby even enjoyed the show(I think...)

Saturday (today): doing stuff at home, laundry... laundry.... laundry...does it ever go away????? Trying to figure out how to use this blog....
